| On behalf of
the International Structural Genomics Organisation (ISGO) I cordially
invite you to the ISGO International Conference on Structural Genomics,
to be held in Berlin, October 10-13, 2002. ICSG 2002 comes at an exciting
time when a number of structural genomics projects have been established
worldwide, and first results of their work can be presented.
ICSG 2002 is
intended to provide an overview over the international structural
genomics endeavor, summarize recent progress in the methods employed in
high-throughput protein structure analysis, and foster international
collaboration.
| The scientific
topics covered in ICSG
2002 include functional
genomics,bioinformatics, and methods for high-throughput protein production, NMR,and X-ray
protein structure analysis. Emphasis will be given to structural genomics
results and their relevance to biology and medicine.
| ICSG
2002 is jointly funded by the
German Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF), the European Commission through
the SPINE network, and the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC).
The conference will be held in the newly built Communication Center of the MDC
on the Berlin-Buch research campus.
| Prior to ICSG
2002 there will be satellite workshops on Automation of X-ray Structure
Determination for Structural Genomics and on Cell-free
Protein Production.
