Legal Structure
The Max Planck Society is a non-profit research organization,
which is organized as a registered society.
All of the institutes and facilities of the Max Planck Society are relatively
autonomous as far as organization and research are concerned,
but the institutions and facilities have no legal capacity of their own.
This also applies for the Institute of this web site,
the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics.
The Protein Structure Factory is a research initiative funded by the German Ministry
of Research and Education (BMBF) as the Leiprojektverbunds Strukturanalyse
im hohem Durchsatz "Proteinstrukturfabrik" für medizinisch relevante Proteine.
