If you have Java Web Start you can start ORFprimer from here.

Otherwise you can install ORFprimer following these steps:
- You need to install Java 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition 1.4 or higher which can be obtained from Sun for free.
- Download the ORFprimer archive (required), documentation and also the sourcecode (optional) from Sourceforge.

Extract the ORFprimer archive named ORFprimer.jar to a dirctory of your choice.

Open a console window (Windows 2000 and higher: Start>Run...>type in: "cmd". Linux users should know what a console is)

Change the directory to the one you extracted ORFprimer.jar to.

You can start the application by typing "java -jar ORFprimer.jar" into the console.

We recommend to start ORFprimer from the start page using Java web start since this is the easiest and fast way to get started with ORFprimer.
