The application available for download was missing some parts that prevented the Fasta Export function to work. This is fixed in the new version.

ORFer now uses the same method, ESearch of the NCBI Entrez system, for retrieving sequences by GI or accession numbers. Therefore, retrieving sequences by accession numbers is now as stable as by GI identifiers. Retrieval of accession numbers failed with former version, if the Java Runtim Environment (JRE) 1.4 was used. This is fixed now.
